The FEI World Cup™ Eventing has committed itself to be the showcase of the
Eventing sport in the future and is aimed to promote the emblematic values of
Eventing to the general public as well as sponsors through constant innovation of
the format of the competition with the participation of the world’s best riders and
horses in a series of qualifiers culminating in a final.
This series has been created to present the sport at its best advantage to the
general public and stands as a concept with its own special rules and regulations,
annually reviewed by the Eventing Committee. Unless otherwise stated current
Rules for Eventing will apply.
The FEI World Cup™ Eventing is a series for individual riders organized through
Three Star level qualifiers and Final.
Should other categories be organized together with the qualifiers or final,
priorities should always be given to the World Cup™ category.

Scoring
Dressage. The horse
must be obedient, graceful and submissive, the rider
poised and elegant. Marks between 0 and 10 are awarded
by each judge to a competitor for each numbered movement
of their dressage test. The movement marks and collective
marks awarded by each judge are totalled, any errors
of course are deducted and the resulting total is converted
into a percentage of the maximum possible marks.
Average percentage for the competitor is obtained by adding together the percentage
for each judge and dividing by the number of judges always rounding the result to two
decimal digits.
In order to convert average percentage into penalty points, this must be subtracted
from 100 and multiplied by 1.5, with the resulting figure being rounded to one decimal
digit. The result is the score in penalty points for the test.
Cross Country. The Cross Country course consists of 20
to 30 fixed natural obstacles for the horse to negotiate
over a 6km distance. These include jumping a variety
of straightforward and technical jumps including spread
fences, ditches, banks, drops and into water.
